Solo/Ens & Recording Studio

This class is for students interested in taking voice lessons, training as a soloist, training as a small ensemble, or recording vocal tracks in our new recording studio. In Advanced Solo & Ensemble & Recording Studio Class will have 15-30 minute voice lessons provided which will rotate weekly. Each classical soloist will prepare songs in English, French, German, Italian, OR Latin, which they will perform at the end of the semester. They will learn how to sing with proper vocal technique, as well as prepare music from a historically researched perspective. Music literacy, foreign language art songs, vocal technique, song/aria research, and healthy performance practices will be emphasized in this class.

Students from this class have received Superior Ratings in both the Solo category, and the Ensemble Category. They won their category and made it State, and have also been awarded the honor of being first and second alternates for State Competition both in the Solo and Ensemble categories.

Recording Studio singers will have an opportunity to record approved songs of their choice from a variety of repertoire, including classical, pop, musical theatre, and more. They will build a professional quality portfolio of recordings to share with their family and friends, and to use if they choose to pursue a career in singing.
